Norma Bennett

December 20, 1947 – August 27, 2026, Norma Bennett, a beloved mother, Grannie, great-Grannie, and friend, passed away on August 27, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. Norma's greatest joy in life was her family. She loved nothing more than bringing everyone together and making sure no one was left out. She was the one who would organize family get-togethers, make plans, and make sure everyone she loved was there. For Norma, family was everything. A woman of strong Catholic faith, Norma found comfort and strength in her faith throughout her life. She shared that love and devotion with those around her and taught her family the importance of staying connected and being there for one another. 

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Theodoro Robles, and her siblings, Josie Silvas, Armando Camacho, Richard Camacho, and Angel Camacho. Norma is survived by her three children, Larry Williams, James Williams Sr., and Beatrice “Beabe” Chico, along with their spouses, Ramona 'Mona' Williams and Michael Chico Sr. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jessica Williams and her spouse, Ryan Chaney; James “Andrew” Williams Jr.; Michael Chico Jr. and his spouse, Lauren Halloway; Mark Chico and his spouse, Victoria Ochoa; Daniel Chico; and Mercedez Chico. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, Asher Chaney, Michael Chico III, Melodi Chico, Sebastien Schlaegel, Benjamin Deltoro, Sophia Deltoro, Nova Chico, and Violet Smith, with another great-grandchild, Samuel Chico, on the way.

 A memorial service will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Swan Burial & Cremation, 1335 S. Swan Road, Tucson, Arizona 85711. Anyone who knew Norma knows that she was truly one of a kind. She had her favorite things, and she wasn't shy about enjoying them. There was always room for a Coca-Cola and, of course, an occasional adult beverage. She enjoyed a good game of darts, bingo, and spending time at the slots. Whether she was throwing darts, hoping for a bingo, or trying her luck at the casino, Norma knew how to have a good time. Norma was also the person everyone turned to when tax season came around. She became everyone's tax preparer, helping family and friends year after year. If you knew Norma, you probably had a tax question for her at some point, and she probably had an answer. But more than anything, Norma loved the people she shared those moments with. The games, the drinks, the laughter, the tax questions, and the gatherings were all about making memories with the people she loved. Norma had a way of making ordinary moments memorable. Her family will remember her laughter, her strong personality, her love of Coca-Cola, her favorite games, her trips to the slots, her willingness to help others, and the way she always wanted everyone together.
