Mary Elizabeth (Betsy) Kelly-Forman
Betsy Kelly was born in Tucson, Arizona on April 01, 1947. She passed away on April 02, 2026. Her education began at St. Joseph’s Academy and ended upon completion of two years at the University of Arizona, where she developed lifelong friendships with her Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority sisters. She ventured into a career as a Flight Attendant with American Airlines that endured over forty years.
She was preceded in death by her father (Maurice “Moss” Kelly), her mother (Eleanor Jane Kelly), and her brother (Michael Joseph Kelly) by her husband (Michael Forman). She is survived by her brother Timothy (Margaret); brother Patrick; niece Lauren Kelly; niece Erin Kelly; niece Megan Kelly.
She lived a very adventurous life consisting of international travel and cuisine. She loved to cook and was overly anxious to share a “St. Patrick’s cocktail” when appropriate! She spent a great deal of time remodeling the old homestead at 4540 E. 8th St. She lived her life as a devout Catholic and was compassionate toward her fellow human beings.
Her health changed drastically last year upon learning cancer was at the doorstep. Medical appointments became a weekly requirement as she retained an optimistic outlook to the end.
Her journey throughout this challenge was greatly augmented by the graciousness of several comrades that exerted love to their friend: Nora Rhude / Patti Cummins Petri / Connie Lancaster Taylor and Suzanne Hawkins.
Friends and family are grateful that her suffering is over. May she rest in peace.
No formal services are planned according to her wishes. A celebration will be determined at a later date.
