Lynette Patricia Dillard (Cox), beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully with music playing and surrounded by family on September 18, 2024.
Lynette was born on October 10, 1960, in Tucson, Arizona to her mother Patricia Cox (Pardon), and was the baby of seven children. Lynette was preceded in death by her mother and her brothers, Larry Cox and Skip Cox. She is survived by her children, her brother Robert (Bobby) Cox, her sisters Sandy Roberts, Debbie Schreiber, and Vickie Ortega, and her nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother to three children, Ryan Dillard (wife Deanna Dillard), Matthew Dillard, and Kaelyn Dillard. Lynette loved her kids fiercely and was endlessly proud of them, and of her furry grandpets.
Lynette was adventurous and dynamic, and enjoyed reminiscing about her motorcycle riding days. A lifelong lover of music, she is fondly remembered by many rocking out to Rod Stewart and dancing through the house. When restless, she had a tendency to rearrange and redecorate, and was an expert at crafting dollar store finds into masterpieces. She had a creative soul and her passion for jewelry-making and recent adventures in sewing delighted everyone around her. In recent years, Lynette had found a new peace with life and settled into a beautiful chapter. While cut too short, she gave her loved ones a wonderful gift to remember her in this spirit.
A private celebration of life will be held on September 28, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to SACASA in her honor.
