Reunited. Larry Belhumeur joined Barbara and Mark when he passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was 79 years old. Larry is survived by his wife Dale Belhumeur, his son Lance Belhumeur (Anna), his daughter-in-law Holly Houck (Donovan), 6 grandchildren, and many close friends and extended family. Larry was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to Tucson in his early teens where he graduated from Rincon High School and then attended the University of Arizona pursuing an engineering degree. He left the U of A before graduating to join the United States Army where he became a medevac helicopter pilot. His distinguished service saved countless lives in Vietnam, and he was awarded the following citations: National Defense Service Medal, Army Aviator Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross, and Air Medal with 36 Oak Leaf Clusters. Larry was always known as a capable, kind, patient, and generous man who was quick to help others. Like Barbara and Mark, Larry will be deeply missed. There are no current plans for a service; I will post an update here if one is organized. Please consider a donation to support animals (specifically dogs) in lieu of flowers.
