Obituary:
Karen Katherine Rosenau, age 84, went to her final resting place and to be with the Lord on December 25, 2025. Born on July 1, 1941, in Hammond, Indiana, Karen was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Howard Paradise. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne; her mother-and father‑in‑law, Hazel and Paul Rosenau; and her sisters‑in‑law, Lucielle Deatherage, Shirley George and Clara Rosenau; and her brothers-in-law Henry Deatherage and Joseph Topping.
Karen is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Bob Rosenau; her daughter and son‑in‑law, Denise and Bob Waldo; her son and daughter‑in‑law, Scott and Saray Rosenau; six grandchildren and their spouses; and four great‑grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister and brother‑in‑law, Barb and Norm Porter; her brother‑in‑law, Paul Rosenau and Danny George; and her sisters‑in‑law, Pamela Paradise, Arlene Topping and Linda White. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family, and countless dear and cherished friends.
Karen’s life was marked by creativity, joy, devotion, and an unwavering love for her family. She was warm, kind, deeply compassionate and someone whose presence made life brighter for everyone she encountered.
Above all, Karen loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She lived out her faith with sincerity and joy, visiting shut‑ins, supporting grief‑share ministries, attending Bible studies, serving in Vacation Bible School, and faithfully spending time in daily devotions. Her life was a beautiful testimony of love, service, and steadfast belief.
