Judith M Domanski, of Dunkirk, New York, and Tucson, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2026.
She was born on May 29, 1941, in Dunkirk, New York, to the late Casimer and Angeline Domanski. Judy
was a loving mother to James (Deborah) Sajdak and Susan (David) Pelosi, and a cherished and proud grandmother of Alyssa (Peter Shilowich) Pelosi. She was a dear sister to Daniel (late Dee) Domanski, Carolyn (late Allen) Greenough, and Raymond Domanski, and sister-in-law to the late Judith B. Domanski. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and countless dear and cherished friends.
Judy graduated from Dunkirk Senior High School in 1958 and later attended Cuyahoga Community College, where she earned her AAS degree as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed a long and varied nursing career, holding positions at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, the Chautauqua County Health Department, and even working aboard a barge on the Mississippi River – just one example of her adventurous spirit. While living in Arizona, she continued working and proudly shared that she was the oldest nurse with her agency.
Judy embraced life fully and without hesitation. She loved gambling, motorcycle riding, traveling, attending her son’s Hobie Cat races, and hosting her much-loved annual Fourth of July party at her cottage. Most recently, she enjoyed a memorable trip to the Cayman Islands with her daughter and son-in-law. Judy truly lived life on her own terms and died with no regrets.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
