Jeffrey Paul Schmitt

Jeffrey Paul Schmitt, 58, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away suddenly but peacefully on September 17, 2025. Born on December 31, 1966, Jeff lived a life marked by hard work, quiet strength, and a deep devotion to family.

Jeff was known for his honesty, loyalty, and kindness. His gentle humor and steady presence made him the kind of person others naturally turned to for help or advice. He took pride in his work at Tucson Medical Center, where his colleagues remember him not just for his dedication but for his compassion and genuine heart.

Outside of work, Jeff loved the outdoors — his favorite trail walks and mountain views reflected his appreciation for life’s simple moments. Those who knew him best will remember his peaceful spirit, his love of family, and the way he found beauty in the everyday.

Jeff is survived by his brothers Stephen and Edward Schmitt, his sister Diane Schmitt, and his extended family and friends who will miss him dearly but carry his memory forward with love and gratitude.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Swan Funeral Home, 1335 S. Swan Rd, Tucson, AZ, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Family, friends, and colleagues are invited to celebrate Jeff’s life, share memories, and honor the man who touched so many hearts.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saguaro National Park in Jeff’s memory — a place that reflects his love of nature and tranquility. Contributions can be made at: https://www.nps.gov/sagu/getinvolved/supportyourpark/monetary-donations.htm
