Gerald Samuel Bryant

Gerald “Jerry” Samuel Bryant, born January 13, 1936, in Shingobee Township- Cass County, MN and raised in Cass Lake & Bemidji, MN. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a devout member of the Catholic Church went home to Jesus on August 5,2026 at the age of 90. Jerry dedicated his life to law enforcement starting with his time with the military police in the Army which led him to his position as a police officer in Fergus Falls, MN. Once he was a father to three kids, he decided corrections was a better career path. He spent 22 years working for the Federal Bureau of Prisons which took him to many different states. Jerry finished his long career at the age of 80 when he officially retired from the private prison, CCA. In addition to law enforcement, Jerry completed a trade program for auto mechanics while maintaining a full-time job and a family.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline, his son Jeff, and daughters Jennifer (Steve) and Janelle (Tony) along with 8 grandchildren Randi (Peter), Andrew (Erin), Morgan (Taylor), Austin (Crystal), Jaekob, Zoe, Tanner and Grayson. 4 great grandchildren Axton, Austyn, Jack and Sadie and his sister Elaine (Ron).

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Leona, his sisters Bernadell and Deanna, his brother Stanley and last but not least, his favorite child, Cupcake (fur baby).

Jerry lived a life dedicated to his family and his work. He was a man of immense character with a strong moral foundation. He worked hard and was proud of the work that he did. He had many hobbies throughout his life such as snowmobiling, ice fishing, trapping, duck hunting, building decoys, woodworking, camping, golfing and swimming in his pool along with watching his grandkids enjoying the pool. Jerry had many stories that he loved to entertain anyone who would listen.
