Cynthia Helen (Marks) Miglioranzi
March 30, 1932 – June 21, 2026
Cynthia Helen (Marks) Miglioranzi, 94, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026.
Cynthia was born on March 30, 1932, in Brooklyn, New York, to Alfred and Viola Marks. An exceptional student from an early age, she skipped multiple grades in elementary school and graduated high school at just 16. Years later, after marrying and raising children, she returned to her studies at the University of Cincinnati, graduating Magna Cum Laude, a testament to the intelligence, determination, and love of learning that defined her entire life.
In her twenties, Cynthia embraced adventure and independence, traveling to Japan to work for a Colonel during the Korean War. It was during this remarkable chapter that fate intervened: while traveling by train, she met Michael Miglioranzi, the man who would become her husband and lifelong companion. Their chance meeting blossomed into a marriage of 56 years and became the foundation of a close-knit family spanning generations.
Cynthia was a devoted member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Tucson, where she found comfort, purpose, and community throughout her life. She actively participated in church activities and cherished the friendships she built there.
Cynthia was a social worker and looked out for the needs of children in Arizona in addition to being active in her community believing deeply in service to those in need through her various volunteer commitments. On a personal level, she found joy through book clubs, the Skyline Country Club Women's Club, a garden club and her beloved mahjong group, whose members gathered almost weekly for friendship, laughter, and companionship. Above all, Cynthia treasured her family and her role as a matriarch and mother.
