Cleo Picaso passed away on May 7, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. She was born on July 2,1940, in Las Vegas, New Mexico, to Fidelia Chavez (Santana). She spent most of her life in Denver but moved to Albuquerque and subsequently Tucson to live with her son in 2020.
Cleo was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony “Tony” Picaso, her daughter, Annette Apodaca, son in law, Phil Apodaca, mother Fidelia “Ann” Chavez and brother, Luis Jr. Martinez.
She is survived by her son, Tony Picaso, and his wife, Lisa. Cleo is also survived by her grandchildren—Michelle, Christopher, Samuel and Andrea and by her great grandchildren—Danae, Anthony, Gabby, Noah, Elias, Alina, Rashiya and Armani.
Cleo is remembered as well by her siblings: Rayann Lobato, Robert Gonzales, Dolores Sanchez, Mark Martinez, Joseph Martinez, and Judy Armijo.
She will be remembered for the part she played in her family’s story and for the lively personality that made her unmistakably Cleo. Her memory will endure in the hearts of her friends and family.
