Charles Edward Ray

May 23, 1957 – February 15, 2026

Chuck was born in Detroit, Michigan but grew up in Tucson.

After attending Santa Rita High, he joined the Navy, serving in Spain on a submarine tender. Upon ending his 4-year term, Chuck returned to Tucson where he married his first wife, Mary, and had a son, Ian.

Chuck’s next adventure was in Phoenix, where he married his second wife, Sandy. There he raised Sandy’s daughter Valerie, as his own, and his son Justin. During his life in Phoenix, he did a little stint at a radio station, where he met his rock idle, Ozzy Osborn.

Throughout Chuck’s life he made many friends and had many adventures, from Arizona to North Carolina and many places in between.

Chuck is predeceased in death by his parents, Dave and Sue Ray. His brother Jim and son Ian.

He is survived by his children, Valerie Keehn (Jeremy) and son Justin (Nicole) and his many grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Belinda (Steve) and her family.
