On September 6, 2025, at age 30, Benjamin (Ben) Stoner, entered the peace and presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
As a lifelong Tucson resident, Ben grew up attending El Camino Baptist Church, where he gave his life to Jesus and was baptized. As part of the church’s youth and young adult group, Ben’s faith was nurtured and strengthened. That foundation carried him throughout his life, and his hope in Christ is now fulfilled.
He worked as a security guard, where his quiet dedication and reliability were appreciated by those who knew him. In his free time, Ben enjoyed video games and music, especially his favorite artist, Alice Cooper. He was especially proud of his signed Alice Cooper jersey, which he treasured.
His interest in travel and other cultures was sparked when he joined his parents and his twin brother, Caleb, on an educational tour of England and France. He became fascinated with England, and that interest grew to include other countries, such as Japan. One of his most memorable travel experiences, however, was a cross-country train trip, which allowed him to see new places and enjoy the journey.
Ben is survived by his parents, Judy and Darryl Stoner; his brothers, Daniel (Kristen) Stoner, Joseph (Brittany) Stoner, and his twin, Caleb (Crystal) Stoner; his nephews, Alex and Andrew Stoner, and Josiah, Jeremiah, Ethan, and Elijah Laurent. He is also survived by his uncles and aunts, John and Beatrice Rogers, and Bill and Kathie Rogers; his cousins, Christy (Michael) Tjapkes, Jeremiah Rogers, Joshua Iley, David Rogers, and many second cousins as well as cousins/aunts Elsie Marie and Sallie Cochren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Iley and Martha Rogers and David and Lillian Stoner, and by his uncles, Monty Stoner and David Stoner.
As believers in Jesus, who died and rose again that we might have eternal life, we look forward to being with our Lord as well as with Ben, family, and all those who have gone before us in the Lord. I Thessalonians 4: 13 – 18.
A memorial service to honor Benjamin’s life will be held on September 20, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 pm at Dan Stoner’s home. If you’d like to attend but are unable to join us in person, the service will be available for viewing via Zoom.
