Armando Figueroa Jr.

Armando Figueroa Jr. died peacefully at home in Tucson after a hard-fought battle with cancer on Sunday, November 2, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 29, 1977, in Douglas, Arizona.

He leaves behind his childhood sweetheart, best friend and wife, Maria Eugenia Carrillo Figueroa, and his son Lazaro. He is also survived by his mother, Lupita Haro and father Armando Figueroa, Sr. and Jenny’s parents Eugenia and Esqui Carrillo, who he looked up to like a father; his siblings, Veronica Lynn Frisina (Joe); Joe David Figueroa (Rebecca); Joseph Haro and his niece, Sofia Lynn Frisina. He also leaves behind many aunts and uncles, and many, many cousins from Arizona, California and Texas, South Dakota, and Mexico. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, especially his loving furry kids, Oliver, Chili, Harley, Little Sparks, Lincoln.

Armando had been employed by Vroom, where he worked as a machinist up until his diagnosis, and was not able to return. Armando was talented and creative in many ways with hobbies ranging from carpentry to mechanic work.

He loved family and the unity of family; he loved being outdoors, camping, hiking and golfing. His favorite sports team were the Arizona Diamondbacks, and of course he loved to cook, BBQ and listen to music. He also served as a Knight of Columbus at Our Mother of Sorrows Church.

Memorial Services will be held at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church @ 1800 S Kolb Road, Tucson, Arizona 85710 on Saturday, November 22nd at 11:00 am followed by a reception at the Parish Hall.

The family wishes to thank his healthcare teams throughout his illness and all of the friends and family for the support and love.
