Andrew Wayne Mixer, age 54, entered this world on December 11, 1969, in Tucson, AZ, and peacefully departed on April 28, 2024. Andrew was a proud alumnus of Santa Rita High School in Tucson, AZ, and served with honor as a United States Marine Corps Veteran. In 2023, he achieved an Associate of Science in Firearms Technology from Sonoran Desert Institute, a testament to his lifelong commitment to learning and growth. Andrew shared his knowledge and expertise as a cherished member of the faculty at Universal Technical Institute, where he imparted his passion for Diesel Mechanics to eager minds.

Andrew is survived by his devoted wife, Ruth; his loving parents, Ken and Dana Mixer; his brothers, Josh (Michelle) Mixer and Rusty (Leandra) Mixer; his daughter, Brittany (Ben) Howell; his son, Alec Anderson; Ruth’s son, Alec (Laci) Heffler; and his cherished grandchildren, Mavis Howell and Dax Heffler, along with nieces and nephew, Arlie, Dani, Bexley and Greyson Mixer.

Faith was the cornerstone of Andrew's life, and he ardently advocated for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. His unwavering devotion to his faith was surpassed only by his boundless love for his family. His marriage to Ruth was a beacon of love, commitment, and mutual respect, inspiring all who knew them. Andrew took immense pride in his children's accomplishments and found much happiness in his role as a grandfather.

Andrew's life was rich with passions that brought him immense joy and fulfillment. Among these was his love for riding his Harley, a passion he shared wholeheartedly with his wife, Ruth, as well as with many friends. Together, they embarked on countless adventures, their Harley rides a symbol of freedom, adventure, and shared experiences. Their bond grew stronger with each mile traveled together, weaving unforgettable memories into the fabric of their relationship.

In addition to his love for motorcycle adventures, Andrew was an avid firearms enthusiast. He found solace and excitement in the intricacies of firearms and marksmanship, a passion that he eagerly anticipated nurturing further in his retirement as a gunsmith. The prospect of dedicating his time to perfecting his craft brought him great anticipation and fulfillment.

Andrew's enthusiasm for these pursuits was infectious, and his dedication to mastering them was evident to all who knew him. His spirit of adventure and his commitment to excellence served as an inspiration to those around him, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of all who shared his passions.

Andrew's spirit illuminated every room he entered, leaving an lasting mark on all who crossed his path. His zest for life, coupled with his deep faith and devotion to his loved ones, leaves behind a legacy that will endure for generations.
